Vì sao? Thẻ thường trú là cam kết cư trú vĩnh viễn — Bộ Công an cần xác minh kỹ lưỡng thời gian cư trú liên tục, lý lịch tư pháp tại cả hai quốc gia, và tính hợp lệ của quan hệ hôn nhân trước khi phê duyệt. Why? Permanent residence is an indefinite commitment — the Ministry of Public Security thoroughly verifies continuous residence, criminal history in both countries, and the marriage's validity before approval.

Hồ sơ thường trú cần lý lịch tư pháp và giấy kết hôn đã hợp pháp hóa. HSVM xin cấp bản mới từ cơ quan cấp tại Hoa Kỳ. Công hàm từ cơ quan đại diện Hoa Kỳ chỉ xin được khi quý vị đang ở Việt Nam. A permanent residence file needs a criminal record and a legalised marriage certificate. HSVM obtains fresh copies from the US issuing offices. The Dispatch from the US mission can only be obtained while you are in Vietnam.

Lệ phí nhà nước được tính riêng theo quy định của cơ quan xử lý.

Quy trình này lâu hơn hẳn Thẻ Tạm Trú — Bộ Công an duyệt hồ sơ tới 6 tháng, có thể gia hạn thêm 3 tháng nếu cần xác minh thêm. This process is substantially longer than TRC — Ministry review takes up to 6 months, extendable by 3 more if additional verification is needed.

This is a starting price, not yet a final quotation. HSVM reviews your case for free and confirms the exact cost first. Work only begins after you approve the quotation.
Sau khi gửi hồ sơAfter you submit

- Nếu còn thiếu giấy tờ, sẽ được hướng dẫn trước khi tiếp tục xử lý.If something's missing, you'll be guided before processing continues.
- Nếu chọn nhầm, HSVM sẽ giúp chuyển sang đúng trường hợp — anh/chị không cần bắt đầu lại.If you picked the wrong one, HSVM will help move you to the correct situation — you won't need to start over.
- Chỉ thanh toán sau khi hồ sơ được xác nhận.Payment is only requested after your case is confirmed.
