Quốc gia sử dụng giấy tờ có thể thay đổi quy trình cần làm. HSVM sẽ kiểm tra trước để hướng dẫn đúng Apostille, hợp pháp hóa hoặc bản dịch phù hợp.The country where the document will be used can change the required process. Vì sao? Cơ quan có thẩm quyền cần xác minh chữ ký và con dấu gốc trên giấy tờ trước khi cấp Apostille — đây là bước xác thực quốc tế được công nhận. Why? The issuing authority needs to verify the original signature and seal before issuing an Apostille — this is the internationally recognized authentication step.

Cơ quan cấp Apostille yêu cầu bản gốc hoặc bản sao có chứng thực — bản photo thường bị từ chối. Với giấy tờ hộ tịch, HSVM xin cấp bản mới nên quý vị không cần gửi gì. Lưu ý: đừng tự công chứng giấy tờ do cơ quan nhà nước cấp — việc đó có thể làm mất giá trị Apostille. The apostille authority requires an original or a certified copy — plain photocopies are commonly rejected. For vital records HSVM orders a fresh copy, so you send nothing. Note: do not notarize a government-issued document yourself — doing so can invalidate its apostille eligibility.
